John Huston

In April of 2009, John Huston, and his expedition partner Tyler Fish, became the first Americans to ski unsupported to the North Pole.  During December 2007 and January 2008, John guided a full-length ski expedition from Hercules Inlet to the South Pole for Northwinds.  In 2005 he dog sledded and skied 1400 miles on the Greenland Ice cap, while using 1911-period food clothing and equipment, as a member of the Norwegian team on the BBC documentary Blizzard Race to the Pole.  He has also managed logistics for several polar expeditions, including Will Steger's Global Warming 101 expedition on Baffin Island in 2007.   John's is a lifelong educator, a polar exploration history buff and an expert in the physical and mental training for expeditions.  He was born on August 14, 1976 and currently resides in Chicago , IL , USA .   www.forwardexpeditions.com
