The famous NorthWinds dog teams:
- Hold the world record for the fastest journey from Northern Canada to the North Pole, in 36 days, proving that Robert Peary could have reached the North Pole in 1909 as he claims.
- Have featured in Top Gear, a BBC production, racing dogs against Toyota 4X4. The teams journeyed 4,000 km around Baffin Island, have crossed Ellesmere Island and reached the North Pole from the Russian.
